The pool is open, but it's my head that's swimming

First things first, this is supposed to be mainly a blog about school, so let's see where we stand:
1.  Rachel--has one science and one social studies unit (both short) left to complete her Kindergarten year!!!
2.  Ford--already into the second box of Bob books and loving learning how to read!
3.  Ruby--working on drawing people and finishing up her alphabet book...totally adorable when she traces the letters on anything and everything and calls out the letters she sees in signs
4.  Baxter--slowly mastering solid foods at lunch time, can totally roll over, can get back to sleep at night with a pacifier sometimes instead of needing to eat, unfortunately, I think he's already getting a tooth, though, and he's been a little grouchy lately.

Now, to get everything out of my head:
1.  If you don't know already, we are in the process of selling our house (finally!).  That means we have packed everything up, sold some stuff, donated some stuff, and left some stuff on the side of the road, but we are completely moved out of our house.
2.  We have moved in with my mother who has been living by herself for several months.  While I think she likes the company and seeing her grandkids every day, I'm pretty sure she will be ready for us to go once we get the house built!
3.  Buying land is stressful!  I thought the building phase would be the most stressful but there have been lots of kinks in the plan of buying land.  I finally just put Allen in charge of the land stuff so that I had one less thing in my head.  He's going to let me know when we have some :)
4.  Once we buy land (hopefully by the end of June/beginning of July) then we have to have our house plans finalized to begin construction.  Allen told Rachel one day that this should take about 6 months.  He didn't add on to that statement (or she didn't hear him say), "If everything goes perfectly."  So, she thinks we're moving again in six months.  Sorry, Rach, looking more like 9-12?  Let's hope all goes well and we can be in a house by next Spring!
5.  School is winding down here, but I'm already excited about planning for Fall.  Ford will officially be in Kindergarten, Rachel in 1st grade, and we get to apply for our Homeschool status.  Going to be wild!
6.  We will be having school in my Mom's basement.  We have found three school-type desks for the kids and they are excited to set up their spaces.  There are lots of shelves for our materials and we've made a temporary playroom for the kids who aren't doing schoolwork at the time.
7.  The pool opened this weekend.  Rachel and Ford have pretty much grown out of their puddle jumpers and it's time to learn to swim.  We went today for Baxter's first pool trip (too cold for him in the water, but other than that he loved it).  Rachel didn't wear her puddle jumper and did great in the shallow end playing with her buddy, Hadley.  Ford made a new friend, Rory.  Ruby was a great mermaid.
8.  Swim team starts Tuesday and I am so excited for the kids to really learn how to swim.  I loved the pool so much as a kid and since they already love playing in the water, I know it will be even more fun when they can swim!!!
9.  Violin recital this week!  Time to practice!!!
10.  It feels really weird to be moved out of our house and actually moving on with our plans to be in the country!!!
11.  I have so many things I've been thinking of to blog about, but just had to get all of that out!

Funny Faces!

Ingram School students were scattered all over the school this afternoon...playing trains, arts and crafts, Simon Says, etc. I asked them to come make funny faces for Baxter. Immediately, they all ran over and did this:
