We have had a whirlwind of crazy Valentine's Day adventures today! We started the day by sharing our homemade cards with each other before breakfast. After Allen left for work, we actually got a little math/writing/reading in and had a normal 30 minutes or so. Then, the madness began! We loaded up the car at 8:45 and dropped off our first Valentine. Ford needed a hair cute pretty badly, so we swung into Mr. Brandon's and got a quick handsome cut. Then we went out to Rachel's godmother's office and took her a Valentine. From there, we headed out to Grandpa's office and dropped off a Valentine. At his office there was a table set up with all kinds of candy and treats. The kids definitely helped themselves. We followed that with a trip to G.G.'s where they had even more treats and played trains with G.G. We passed Ms. Lisa on the road, so we called her and flagged her down and delivered her Valentine. We were going to stop by Ruby's Godmother's office, but she wasn't there, so we called her Godfather and caught him at the kids' school playground to deliver their Valentines. Finally, we came back to our house and had a quick little lunch with Vanessa, Kingston, and Hyland. While we were eating lunch a pick up truck stopped in front of our house and couple literally got out of the truck and walked around our yard!!! I was so excited that they were so interested in our house :) We weren't sure if we should go talk to them or not, but I decided against it. You just never know the legalities of that kind of thing. They looked around for a good 5-10 minutes and then drove down the street a little bit, turned around and slowly drove back by. I freaked out that they might call our realtor, so I started cleaning like a mad woman. Vanessa took the boys home for a nap and I got a movie started for Rachel, Ford, and Ruby. They did a pretty good job just sitting here and resting and watching a movie while I cleaned and cleaned and cleaned. So, hopefully this afternoon while we're gone to violin and art the people will call and want to see the inside of the house??? Or nothing could come of it and we have a clean house....not too bad of a deal, I guess!
The best Valentine's gift of all would be to sell this house so we can get closer to the country!!!!!!
How exciting that you had people looking at the house! Any phone calls!?
